Jesper Eckhardt Larsen, Ph.D., professor of pedagogy at Inland University of Norway (INN). Former chairman of the Danish Society for the History of Education and co-editor of the Danish Yearbook for the History of Education. His research interests combine historical and international comparative approaches within education studies, with a particular focus on the history of professions, the history of pedagogy, the intellectual history of the concept of Bildung (education/formation), and approaches to legitimizing knowledge. His contributions include comparative historical analyses of teacher cultures, the academization of teacher education, the humanities in society, and colonial school history. He has, among other works, edited the book "Knowledge, Politics and the History of Education" (LIT-Verlag, 2012) and was co-editor of the book "Schoolteachers and the Nordic Model: Comparative and Historical Perspectives" (Routledge, 2022).
